About Us

Our mission at IGNITE PHILANTHROPY ADVISORS is to advance the charitable goals of the clients we serve. Our clients include individuals, families, organizations and foundations — all seeking to create positive change through their grant making and philanthropic activities. Services are tailored to the client’s charitable goals and assets.

Clients engage IGNITE as a long-term partner for strategic, administrative and grantmaking services, or for discrete short-term projects, such as researching new funding initiatives or creating a charitable giving plan.

Susan Ingmire is President and Owner of IGNITE; Lyn Martin is Vice President; Megan Wolfer is Grants and Communications Manager and Judy Heideman is Administrative Coordinator. Penny Friedman and Mary LeRoy serve as Senior Advisors. Learn more about our team here.

IGNITE is headquartered in the Hamilton County Business Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, located near Xavier University. We work with local, regional and out-of-state clients.

IGNITE currently has 15 clients and advises on charitable assets approaching $100 million. Our clients are located in multiple states and include:

In July 2009, the IGNITE staff and clients transitioned from InterAct for Change, a nonprofit subsidiary of the Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati. Prior to InterAct, IGNITE clients and staff were affiliated with BeneFactors LLC, a consulting firm founded by Penny Friedman in 1997.
